With a couple of tough losses, expectations for Boise State continue to drop. On January 29th in Ruston the Broncos dropped one to the Bulldogs in WAC action, 70-60.

The Broncos were the favorite in this game and unfortunately could not live up to that. Boise State was ranked higher in the RPI (#160 to #219). The Broncos had already seen the Bulldogs this year and had beaten them 71-60.

Louisiana Tech beat Boise State by winning three pointers and shooting.

The Bulldogs didn't need much in shooting accuracy, making 48% of their shots while their defense limited the Broncos to 38%. Louisiana Tech drained three pointers for 24 insurmountable points, compared to 9 for Boise State.

Daequon Montreal and La`Shard Anderson led the losing effort for the Broncos, tied with 14 points. Westly Perryman topped both teams with 4 steals.

Boise State's momentum is on the floor after this loss to conference rival Louisiana Tech. The Broncos now drop to 12-9. Our conference record falls to 5-4 and we've dropped to 5th place. Finally, we've lost 4 of our last 5 games.

The next game coming up is with Hawaii at home on February 3rd, and the Broncos are looking for a win here.
