New Mexico's Drew Gordon has won the StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week award for the week ending January 30th. Hugh Greenwood from New Mexico has earned StatSheet's Mountain West Freshman of the Week. Gordon tallied respectable numbers with 10 points per game, 50% shooting, and 12.5 rebounds per game. The New Mexico senior put these numbers up in wins versus Colorado State and TCU.
Gordon led scoring and rebounding for the Lobos with 13 points and 14 rebounds in a big 85-52 win over Colorado State. He followed that up with 7 points and 11 rebounds in a 71-54 victory against TCU.
This is the second time this season that Drew Gordon has been selected StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week. He has also been a runner-up once and received multiple honorable mentions. The runner-up this week is Mike Moser, a sophomore from UNLV. Honorable mention goes to San Diego State sophomore Jamaal Franklin. Kenny Buckner finished 18th and was the highest ranking player from Boise State.

Hugh Greenwood averaged 22 minutes of playing time starting both games for New Mexico. In the win over Colorado State, Greenwood contributed 9 points and 3 rebounds. Following that in the win against TCU, he totaled 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Hugh Greenwood has won the StatSheet Mountain West Freshman of the Week an astounding 3 times. Kamryn Williams from Air Force grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to our own Derrick Marks. Boise State players have not yet been named StatSheet Mountain West Player of the Week this season.
